Tuna

Tuna is not always the first meat that comes to people’s minds when they think about cooking, but it is actually a versatile meat to cook with. So often people’s minds focus on beef, chicken, and pork so much that they forget that there are other things they can cook with.

For example, you almost certainly have eaten a hamburger, and you almost certainly have eaten a chicken sandwich, but have you ever tried a tuna burger? Tuna can be used as a hamburger substitute and many people find this to be delicious and nutritious.

In order to make tuna burgers, try the following:

• Pre-heat the oven to about 400 degrees. You may want to grill the tuna, but in general most people make tuna burgers by baking them. The choice is up to you. For the purposes of these directions, we will assume that you are going to bake them.

• Mix the tuna, some soup, chopped onion and green pepper together in a medium-sized bowl. Mix the items up well in order to make sure they are baked properly while evenly distributed.

• Take hamburger buns and place the tuna burger mixture directly on the buns. Brush the tops of the buns with a little bit of butter.

• Next, wrap each of the buns with the uncooked tuna burger inside of some aluminum foil. Wrap the foil tight so that there is not a lot of room for small cracks or holes.

Place the burgers inside of the oven and cook them for about 15 minutes. When removing them from the oven, give them a couple of minutes to cool down and serve.

This is a recipe that you may love. You also may not like it at all. But if you do not like this tuna recipe, do not give up on tuna completely. There are a lot of different recipes that you can use with tuna.
